"retro royalty-feel it again"
We're an independent team of silly thinkers, and we love everything there is about retro-style games. We're not the best, but damn it - we're happy about it, even if it means our games run on nothing but hopes and dreams.
We don't really want to pay homage to the classics - the classics do themselves justice, and plenty is being done today to pay tribute. What we want is to turn back the cultural clock and create new games as if they were dropped into forever-ago.
We're unapologetically happy to break the rules. We don't stick to any one genre; instead, we experiment and find what works. We understand that our work isn't for the masses, and we're content with attaining a niche following - even if it's just among ourselves. That said, we're deeply receptive to community feedback, as it's a valuable source of fresh ideas when we need them. We currently use Godot and Roblox, and in our projects - as Bob Ross once said - there are no mistakes, only happy accidents.
We draw inspiration from every title of the 90s and early 2000s - even those rough around the edges, because sometimes even those worse for wear could've been sitting on a goldmine.
We're sly tinkerers at heart - that's where we learned best. We reverse-engineered, modded, and adapted games to our hearts' content. We believe in small, passionate teams and open collaboration. We value creativity and free software; while we don't condone piracy, we won't implement DRM or squeeze your wallet for lunch money. We stand for affordable games - if you can't afford to buy them, you're welcome to spread the word. As long as fair use is respected and no one claims undue credit, you can do with our games as you please - and we even hope you create something better with them!
We want to stress that we don't intend to create unfulfilled expectations - please take our projects with a grain of salt. Most of the time, these projects happen on a whim, and we don't guarantee releases. For us, it's more about the journey and the joy of creating; if time and effort allow, a release may be near! If you're on board with that philosophy, you are more than welcome to follow our journey through our social media, dev diaries, behind-the-scenes streams, early demos, and more. We're here to have fun, and we'd love to share that fun with you.
